When we began training with Daisy she was 4 months old and I remember it taking a very long time for her to grasp the concept.
During the day we would confine her to her cage and then after work when she was finished eating we would immediately take her outside to do her business. This worked most of the time but relied heavily on routine.
Even today at age 8 Daisy only sometimes goes to the door and sits there when she wants to go out, and very seldom she will actually scratch the door to go. I rely mostly on routine, hopefully someone else can share the method for potty training they have used.
