With Daisy, the recovery process was quite long and required being caged for 2 months while on anti inflam., and steroids before she was able to walk, eat and urinate again.
I don't believe using pain killers is good for treatment because while it may subdue the pain, Brownie may only may further damage her discs and spine. Brownie might need to rest and kept from being active for some time before returning to normal.
