My daschund is 12 yrs old--I took her to our vet last week---she was shaking and could hardly hold up her head---the vet put her on cotisone pills,valium,tagament(for her stomach)and an antibiotic to keep her from having urinary problems---he said she most likely had a disc in her neck that was either ruptured or herniated----it's been 4 days now and she still shakes unless I give her valium around the clock----surgery is serious---we do not want to have it done unless it becomes absolutely necessry------does anyone have any suggestions???? Holly is a part of our family---I want what is best for her
