I have a 6 yr old that has recently has disc problems. The vet only gave her a day of steriods and now wants to send to surgeon for liminectomy, removal of bony exterior of spinal canal and to clean out disc material. Does anyone know of any other routes to take? From what I've read, it's real expensive and the chances of recovery are not all that great.
